Find out who’s going to court

  • Published Monday, Sep. 3, 2012, at 12 a.m.

Each Monday, The Eagle highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For a complete list of You Oughta Know columns, go to www.kansas.com/oughta.

The record: A list of people who are scheduled to appear in Wichita Municipal Court.

Why you’d want it: To learn more about municipal court cases and for backgrounding purposes.

Where you get it: Go to www.wichita.gov. Click on the “Docket Search” link under the “How Do I?” menu. If you leave the name field blank and click the search button, you’ll get a list of people scheduled to appear in court.

How much the record will cost: The information is free.
