Former Wichita East standout and Kansas State running back Bryce Brown has made the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster to start the season.
Brown rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown in preseason games.
"I made a lot of improvement (from) when I first got here, coming in to rookie camp and OTAs and getting some games under my belt," Brown was quoted on the team's website, Philadelphiaeagles.com. "Its easier to get in a groove when youre out there playing more, so it was fun just to get that opportunity and just to be out there a lot having fun."
Brown played one game at K-State after transferring from Tennessee.
"If I can think back and remember my first game, I was really, really nervous," he said. "I hadnt played in a long time. Its been awhile since Ive had the pads on and in a live game setting. But after that, I kind of calmed down and realized that its still football. The coaches have done a good job of preparing us and putting us in a position to be successful. And just do the things that youre taught in practice and everything else will be OK."
