MANHATTAN — Riley County Police are searching for Sam Harvill, a Kansas State defensive tackle, after his mother reported that he hasn’t been seen since 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
In a statement released by K-State, football coach Bill Snyder said the school is helping in those efforts.
“We are concerned for Sam’s safety and welfare,” Snyder said. “We are in contact with his family and area law enforcement authorities and will continue to assist in any way possible.”
Police say Harvill may be driving a silver 2005 Dodge R15 pick-up truck with large tires and black rims. They are asking that anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts call 785-537-2112 ext 0.
Harvill came to K-State from Springdale, Ark., last summer. He was practicing with the team but was injured and did not play in any games. He is not currently listed on the team’s roster, but a team spokesperson said he remains a member of the program.
