Bob Corwin will be leaving his post as chief executive of Kansas’ largest credit union for a similar job in his hometown of Portland, Ore.

Meritrust Credit Union announced Thursday that Corwin will be leaving Sept. 30 to become president and CEO of Advantis Credit Union, a $930 million, 48,000-member credit union.

“This is such a bittersweet decision for me, personally and professionally,” Corwin said in a news release. “I have become more attached to this credit union and Kansas than I would have thought possible. I have proudly embraced Kansas as my adopted home. Ultimately, the magnetism of family draws me back to Portland, to be near my children and grandchildren.”
