It isn’t like Mitt Romney had a lot of choices. Paul Ryan is the only person in the country who even has a plan to save America.
Romney chose as his running mate Paul Ryan, whose policies are even more devastating for America than those of Romney. Romney hopes that Democratic attacks will now be directed at Ryan and away from himself. All Romney has done is open up a second front to defend.
Anybody older than 50 who votes for Paul Ryan needs to have his head examined.
So it’s Romney and Ryan. Now the real war on Social Security, Medicare, education, the middle class, women, the old and the disadvantaged begins. Wake up, America.
The political cartoonists are really going to enjoy the next three months. Drawing Paul Ryan – with his widow’s peak and huge ears, nose and smile – will be great for the Romney campaign. In an ear competition, Ryan beats Barack Obama.
Re-electing Obama would be like backing up the Titanic and hitting the iceberg again.

Thanks to an angel who performed the Heimlich maneuver on my daughter recently in a local restaurant. My small granddaughter and I were unable to help, and a young woman calmly and efficiently took charge. We were too shocked to get her name, but we are so grateful.
