Police were called in to break up a disturbance at the Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg, at 12:25 a.m. Saturday.

“There were several people upset,” said police Sgt. Bart Brunscheen. “They were there for a particular band performance when a promoter showed up and just said the band wasn’t going to be there.”

The band that was scheduled to perform was Los Tigres del Norte, a Cotillion employee said.

The disturbance escalated due to issues regarding the refunding of tickets at the entrance to the Cotillion, Brunscheen said. During the disturbance, the glass on the ticket counter was broken.

When officers arrived, they were able to clear the parking lot with no more problems, Brunscheen said. There were no injuries.

Damage to the counter was estimated at $1,000.
