The liberal media, including The Wichita Eagle editorial board, only object to single-party government when it is Republican. Democrats ran the federal government from 2008 to 2009 with no liberal media protest at the time and only feigning objection now.

The governor won, so hold on to your hats. I need to get into the rubber-stamp business now. I really thought Kansans were smarter than that. Once again, I was proved wrong.

Time to update the state motto: “Though many are better, there are none that are redder.”

Welcome to the city of Kochville in the state of Brownbackistan.

I can sum up Tuesday’s election in one word – doom.

Where are the stories about the disenfranchised and all those unable to vote? With all the hubbub before the election about requiring a photo ID, I’d have thought there would have been thousands of stories to pick from.

Anyone finding the new voter-ID law difficult or restrictive must be nothing short of a Democrat.

As if it’s not humiliating enough to hand over your ID at the polls for the privilege of being eyed up and down like you’re a convict, they also insist you say your address aloud in a room full of strangers. My face matches my ID. Why the address, too?

The voting check-in procedure went very smoothly. I showed my driver’s license and didn’t have to spell my last name three times. The longest line was waiting for a terminal to open. Thank you, Kris Kobach.

If showing your driver’s license to vote was “no biggie” to you, I’m sure you’re white and have a decent job. Voting is a constitutionally protected right, meaning that zero hoops should exist for anyone to vote. Kobach has you duped.

What’s sadder – that Republicans clearly edited out the part of President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” speech explaining he was referring to government-built infrastructure, or that there are so many people stupid enough to believe the Republican version?

If Obama does not want to speak of what positive things he has planned for a second term, then my choice is evident.

Nothing is more wonderful to hear than Rush Limbaugh desperately trying to convince listeners that Robin Hood (a fictional character) was a Republican.
