Two men were arrested and police are looking for a third after a disturbance outside a Wichita convenience store culminated in gunfire early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Officers were just arriving at a reported disturbance at the parking lot of the QuikTrip at 1414 N. Oliver shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday when they heard a couple of shots being fired, Lt. Doug Nolte said.
People involved in the dispute scattered, but officers learned that two men involved in an on-going dispute gathered at the parking lot with their own groups of friends and one fired shots. No injuries were reported.
Those involved in the clash left the area, but witnesses gave a description of one of the vehicles and it was found and pulled over a short time later.
One of the two men at the heart of the dispute was in the car, Nolte said, and he was arrested on outstanding warrants. A passenger in the car was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Police are still looking for the second man at the center of the conflict, Nolte said.
There is no indication the clash was gang-related, he said.
