The Wingnuts pounded Amarillo for 15 runs and won their fifth straight game, beating the Sox 15-10 on Wednesday night in Amarillo.
Wilberto Ortiz was 4 for 5 and drove in five runs, falling a triple short of the cycle. Greg Porter had three hits and drove in four.
Amarillo built a 6-4 lead after three innings, but the Wingnuts took the lead for good with a five-run fourth.
Former Wichita State pitcher Anthony Capra allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings. Another Shocker, Jared Simon, relieved Capra and picked up his third win.
