Wagner guides Wingnuts to victory

Derek Blacksher threw eight-plus innings for the victory and Mark Wagner chipped in with four RBIs as the Wichita Wingnuts defeated the Laredo Lemurs on Sunday night at Laredo, Texas.

Wagner delivered a two-RBI double in the first inning that scored Ryank Khoury and Wilberto Ortiz.

Wagner gave the Wingnuts a 3-1 lead in the top of the third, taking an 0-2 pitch to right field for a single that scored Khoury from second.

Khoury tied the Wingnuts’ franchise record with four stolen bases in the victory.

Blacksher gave up five hits and walked three as he improved his win-loss record to 6-3.
