A man suffered severe head injuries after he was beaten in north Wichita late Friday night, police say.

The 26-year-old man was taken to the hospital with possible brain bleeding after two men punched and beat him in the 1700 block of N. Minneapolis, Wichita police Sgt. Bruce Watts said. One of the alleged attackers, who police say are ages 27 and 29, pushed the younger man to the ground, before the second hit him several times, Watts said. The assault happened around 11 p.m. Friday.

The 26-year-old man was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.

Watts said officers found and interviewed one alleged attacker, but no one has been arrested in connection with the beating. Police are still looking for the second man.
