Bicyclist killed after being hit by car near Augusta

A 49-year-old El Dorado man was killed Thursday afternoon when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car on U.S. 77 north of Augusta.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the Roger N. Joyce of was riding south when his bicycle was struck from behind by a southbound car driven by a 36-year-old Rose Hill man at 2:25 p.m. near SW 80th Street. There were no other injuries.
