The Laredo Lemurs scored six unanswered runs and beat the Wingnuts 7-3 on Tuesday night in Laredo to wrap up a three-game series.
Wichita scored two runs in the second for a 2-0 lead. Blake Bergeron homered, and Gerardo Avila scored on a single by David Peralta.
The Lemurs scored three runs in the third thanks to five walks by Wichita starter Anthony Capra.
The Wingnuts’ lead in the American Association Central remains at 3 1/2 games.
The Wingnuts are off today, and begin an eight-game homestand Thursday.
