I know it’s going to be a long, hot summer, especially with the electioneering. I’m getting a wee bit tired of those stupid, long, brochure-size cards that they keep cramming in my door when it clearly says, with a red label, “no soliciting.”
So hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless government-paid hours are spent tracking down one or possibly two fraudulent ballots, while throwing away hundreds of perfectly legal ballots? This is not taxpayer money well-spent.
Will the Democratic National Convention require a photo ID to enter the building?
There do not need to be many documented problems of voter fraud. The number of people complaining about voter-ID laws is proof that there is a problem that needs to be addressed.
It is worth remembering that the DMV computer system that is causing problems is the same one that Secretary of State Kris Kobach wanted to use to fix Kansas’ nonexistent voter-fraud problem before the November election.

I read that it is time for new Wichita City Council districts to be drawn. I think it is time for a new City Council.
If an act of color – or any act – doesn’t come to Intrust Bank Arena, it’s not because the arena is offering the act too little money. It’s because the act won’t draw enough paying customers.
