I guess we’ll have to stop bashing the Chinese now that they own Hawker Beechcraft.
Every time Jeff Longwell talks about our tax dollars he loves to give away, he tells us about return on investment. When will taxpayers start seeing the return? All I see are my tax dollars going out and city services being cut.
Once the government gets hold of a truly bad idea, it tends to cling to it.
As long as the president continues to penalize the productive and reward the irresponsible, he won’t get my vote.
Democrats are doing linguistic gymnastics about whether it’s a tax or a penalty. I don’t care what the mandate is called. Obamacare will cost me thousands of dollars. Obama and the Democrats will pay the penalty in November.
When Obama took office he got a $10 trillion national debt; a tax system that can’t pay the cost of defense, Social Security and Medicaid; and a Washington lobby that can have any Republican voted out of office if he votes for a tax increase.
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to put an Obama sticker on your bumper and remove all doubt.
Just as I thought – Andy Griffith didn’t stick around to enjoy the Obamacare he told us was going to be so wonderful.
So Kris Kobach, our secretary of state, was the chairman of the Kansas GOP when all the campaign violations occurred. It’s comforting to know that he’s sure it was unintentional. Can you imagine the reactions if this happened in the Democratic Party?

How many more lives must be lost before something is done about the intersections on K-254 in northeast Wichita that should be limited-access? It could be as simple as rumble strips and flashing stoplights. Of course, KDOT first would have to admit it screwed up.
Let the police officers protect this community and not chase fireworks that are over before they can get there. I can put up with the fireworks and noise for four or five days but would prefer that our police deal with more serious issues.
