Thursday’s Art of Emprise Fiesta is an event organized by the Wichita Chapter of the KU Alumni Association that will include a tour of Emprise Bank’s art collection led by chairman Mike Michaelis.

The event, which starts with check-in at 5:30 p.m., will have a Mexican theme. Art tours will begin at 6 p.m., and Saralyn Reece Hardy, director of KU’s Spencer Museum of Art, will offer welcoming remarks. Food and drink also will be provided.

Through the years, Michaelis has amassed a collection of Kansas art that includes about 1,700 pieces, some of which decorate the halls and offices of the bank at 257 N. Broadway.

Admission to the event is $10 for alumni association members and $15 for nonmembers. To register, contact Kerri Wright at klwright@kualumni.org or 785-864-9772.
