Wichita police respond to two traffic accidents, one with serious injuries

Wichita police responded to two traffic accidents, including a hit-and-run yielding serious injuries, shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.

A 56-year-old woman was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis after she was ejected from her motorcycle in a hit-and-run accident involving another vehicle, the dispatcher said. The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of South Seneca.

The woman suffered serious injuries. No one else was hurt, according to dispatch.

A short time earlier, police responded to a rollover accident on South Broadway near 95th Street South. The crash, which shortly after 9 p.m., involved one vehicle, the dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported, she said.
