Six men have been arrested in connection with a fight that broke out early Tuesday morning at Lake Afton and sent three people to local hospitals, the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Office said.
The six men, who ranged in age from 18 to 25, were booked into jail, Capt. Greg Pollock said.
More than a dozen people were involved in the brawl that erupted shortly after 2 a.m. at a campground on the southeast side of the lake, Pollock said.
Six people were injured, including three seriously. Two men, 19 and 23, were taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis. A 26-year-old woman was taken to Wesley Medical Center.
An investigation was still trying to determine what caused the fight, but Pollock said, We have not ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor.
Detectives will present the case to the District Attorneys Office later this week for consideration of charges, Pollock said.
