Sedgwick County enacts burn ban

A burn ban is in effect today in Sedgwick County. That means open burning of materials such as brush and tree trimmings is not allowed. Neither are bonfires.

A news release from the county said that the ban is due to high levels of ozone. Officials will lift the ban when ozone levels return to acceptable levels.

Agricultural burning still will be allowed.
