Cats and kittens can be adopted without charge from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday as the Kansas Humane Society hosts a special “Priceless Purrs” promotion to try to find homes for more than 80 felines. Donations for adoptions are welcome.
Free cat adoptions will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis until all animals are adopted or until 1 p.m. There is a limit of two pet adoptions per household.
Additionally, all dogs, puppies or small mammals may be adopted for 50 percent off their standard adoption fee.
Each cat adoption includes a physical exam, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, FVRCP vaccination for cats 8 weeks and older, a feline leukemia test for cats 4 months and older, dewormer, nail trim, 30 days of pet health insurance coverage and a sample bag of pet food.
To adopt or for more information, visit the Kansas Humane Society at 3313 N. Hillside, call 316-524-9196 or visit http://www.kshumane.org/.
