A 56-year-old Kingman woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 54 on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Katherine Lindsey was driving east shortly before 3:30 p.m. when the Ford Ranger’s back left tire blew out about five miles east of Kingman, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The pickup skidded sideways and rolled in the south ditch.

Lindsey was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment. She was undergoing surgery Wednesday morning, and an updated condition report was not yet available.

She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, the highway patrol report stated.
