Wichita Wild defensive back Kendrick Harper intercepted a pass from Allen quarterback David Knighton in the end zone as time was running out to seal the Wild’s 43-40 win over the Wranglers in the Intense Conference semifinals on Monday in Allen, Texas.

The Wild improved to 9-6 with the victory and advanced to play the top-seeded Tri-Cities Fever (13-2) in the conference championship on Friday at Kennewick, Wash.

After a touchdown and two-point conversion from Allen tied the score at 40-40 with 58 seconds left to play.

Wichita got the ball back and kicker James Chandler nailed a 52-yard field goal with 19 seconds left that would prove to be the game-winner.

Wichita running back and Butler Community College product Tywon Hubbard had a big day, rushing for 129 yards and one touchdown. Wild quarterback Marcus Jackson was 13-for-18 passing for 129 yards and one touchdown.
