Armed man robs Long John Silver’s at 21st Street, Amidon

WICHITA — An armed man robbed the Long John Silver’s on 21st Street, near Amidon on Monday night, police said.

The man came into the restaurant at 2090 W. 21st St. shortly before 8:15 p.m., Lt. Doug Nolte said. He demanded money from the register and was given a small amount of cash.

He left in a small blue car, the clerk told police. There were four customers eating in the restaurant at the time of the robbery, Nolte said. They were not injured.

The suspect is a white man who is about 6-feet-2 and has a thin build, police said. He was wearing a red baseball cap, khaki shorts and a white sleeveless shirt.
