Two people were hurt — one seriously — in a collision in south Wichita late Monday afternoon, authorities said.

A 23-year-old woman was driving south on Broadway at about 5:53 p.m. when her car collided with a vehicle attempting to turn left onto westbound MacArthur, a police report states. The woman was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis with a broken leg and injuries to her head and face, police said.

She is listed in fair condition today, a hospital spokeswoman said. The man driving the second vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene.

Police say the southbound driver had a green light, though the man told officers he had a green turn arrow at the time of the collision.
