The Ulrich Museum of Art’s public relations manager will serve as interim director for the museum while a search is conducted for a new director, Wichita State University has announced.
Teresa Veazey has had the public relations job for more than 10 years and will step in to direct programs and operations when Ulrich director Patricia McDonnell leaves in mid-September to become director of the Wichita Art Museum. Veazey’s appointment is expected to last three months while a national search is conducted for a new director of the museum at WSU, said Keith Pickus, WSU interim provost.
Veazey is a past president of Wichita Professional Communicators. Rodney Miller, dean of WSU’s College of Fine Arts, is leading the search committee for the next Ulrich director.
