RailCats shut out Wingnuts

Morgan Coombs threw 6 2/3 shutout innings for the win as the GarySouthshore RailCats defeated the Wichita Wingnuts 6-0 on Monday night at Gary, Ind.

Coombs was perfect before Mike Conroy doubled with two outs in the top of the fifth.

Nick Walters, Jared Simon and Edgar Martinez combined to finish the shutout in 2 2/3 innings of relief. The series continues tonight at Gary, with Derek Blacksher getting the start for Wichita.
