Why you went into this business: My freshman year of high school, I met a new student (whose) father was the news director at WBRC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Birmingham. One day he asks if I’d like to go to the station for a tour and watch a newscast. I did and was instantly hooked!

Your alternate career choice: Still occasionally daydreaming of the lifestyle of a professional or airline pilot.

Favorite type of weather: I love a clear, crisp and cool fall day with only a light breeze. Not just pleasant to experience, but also easy to forecast.

What keeps you up at night: I’m pretty sure I’m not the only parent that wonders if “Daddy” is always going to have a job to support their family. With the explosion of digital media, it’s conceivable that a majority will no longer care about seeing a familiar face.
