Why you went into this business: I grew up in broadcasting, starting in radio while in high school. After moving to TV news, I decided to dedicate my career to weather and have never looked back.
Your alternate career choice: Baseball play-by-play announcer or maybe SCUBA instructor on a tropical island.
Favorite type of weather: I love Kansas sunsets – the big sky beautifully painted.
What keeps you up at night: Trying to find the most effective way to get people to take warnings seriously and take shelter.
One thing few people know about you: Rode with the U.S. Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters through the eye of Hurricane Andrew (six times).
