Summer nights at Botanica
Botanica is open Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 8 during the summer. Tuesday evenings have the additional perk of music and cocktails during Tuesdays on the Terrace, from 5:30 to 7:30 (regular admission charged). On Thursdays, admission is a discounted $3 all day and evening.
How to clean patio door tracks
Q: How do you clean the metal tracks of sliding patio doors?
A: Remove loose dirt with a vacuum cleaner’s crevice tool, or brush it out with a paintbrush. Then remove any sticky residue with a cloth dampened with mineral spirits, window manufacturer WindowPro says. Stretching the dampened cloth over a putty knife or similar blade may help you reach into the tracks better.
Spray the tracks with spray silicone afterward to help the doors slide better. Don’t use a petroleum-based product such as WD-40, because it will attract dirt.
