A six-run fifth inning helped send the Wingnuts to their eighth straight win, a 12-6 victory over Fargo-Moorhead on Wednesday in Fargo, N.D.

The streak includes six consecutive wins on the road — series sweeps at Gary SouthShore and Fargo.

Mitch Einertson started the fifth-inning rally with a one out walk, and went to third when Fargo botched C.J. Ziegler’s grounder. David Peralta singled home Einertson and Ziegler to make it 6-1. Steve Carrillo walked, then Salomon Manriquez and Mike Conroy hit a run-scoring singles for an 8-1 lead. Ryan Khoury reached on an error to load the bases, Manriquez scored on a passed ball, then Conroy scored when Jake Kahaulelio grounded out.

Einertson and Peralta each scored three runs.

The Wingnuts are off tonight, and start a homestand Friday against Grand Prairie.
