A tornado that touched down near the Rush County town of La Crosse caused at least some property damage tonight but apparently caused no injuries.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for northeast Rush County shortly after 10 p.m. after storm chasers spotted a tornado four miles east of Lacrosse.

A Rush County dispatcher said there have been reports of damage, but she said she was unable to say how extensive the damage is. She said there were no immediate reports of injuries.

La Crosse is about 25 miles south of Hays.
