Kris has always had beautiful gardens. This year is no exception. The perennials are especially beautiful this year.

This is a collection of old birdhouses my husband arranged and attached to the top of the garden fence. We call it Tweet Street. The background is a field of Cleome and the foreground is a healthy herb garden.

This is a picture I took of my mom's Hydrangea. Last year, its blooms were pink, purple and blue. I loved the look of the soft pink bloom and snapped this picture after it stopped raining.

I understand this photo was not taken in Kansas but its a good shot and I'm not seeing any qualifications saying it must be Kansas.

This rusted truck frame is tucked in next to an old building in Silverton, Colo. The orange poppies are reflected on the fender, which is still wet from an afternoon mountain shower. What used to be the bed of the truck is now a flowerbed for happy daisies! Looking at this photo reminds me of the refreshingly cool and pine-scented air in the San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains (which would be blessed relief from our Wichita summer weather!).
