Organizers of an underage drinking party turned to Facebook to promote it — a move that backfired when police broke up the party.

The party was held Saturday night in north Wichita, Lt. Doug Nolte said. Someone saw a post promoting the party on Facebook and called 911.

Officers went to the house in the 2600 block of North Amidon and shut the party down. Two adults — a 46-year-old woman and 41-year-old man — were arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors, Nolte said.

Four juveniles were released to their parents. Nolte said estimates on how many people were at the party are not available.
