— The State Objections Board will look into a complaint that says Rodney Wren does not live in the 83rd District in Wichita, where he has filed to run for the state House.

The complaint, filed by Eileen Murtha in an e-mail on May 3, says that Wren filed for office “using a fraudulent home address.”

Murtha couldn’t be reached immediately Tuesday. But in her e-mail she wrote that she is willing to testify and has a witness.

Wren said he lives in the district in the 6300 block of East Eighth Street.

“This is nothing more than a personal attack that is completely baseless and untrue,” he said. Wren, a Republican, seeks to replace Rep. Jo Ann Pottorff, who is retiring. He is the only candidate to file for the office so far.

Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Attorney General Derek Schmidt and Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer make up the objections board, which plans to discuss the issue today.
