  • Published Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 12 a.m.

Miniature horses from across the Midwest will be on display Saturday and Sunday at the Heartland Classic Miniature Horse Show at the Kansas Pavilions, 85th Street North off I-135.

The horses, which stand no taller than 34 inches at the withers, or last hairs of the mane, will take part in activities such as jumping, driving and navigating obstacles.

The Heartland Miniature Horse Club will have a booth offering information on miniature horses and lists of club members who may have horses and/or tack for sale.

The show starts at 8 a.m. each day and is free to the public.
