Crews respond to fire at Spirit AeroSystems

WICHITA — Fire crews are on the scene of a fire that broke out tonight near K-15 and MacArthur in southeast Wichita.

Emergency dispatchers said the fire was reported at 8:48 p.m. by someone at Spirit AeroSystems, who said a building at the plant was on fire.

It was not clear what type of building was burning, dispatchers said, but it was brought under control by 9:30 p.m.. No injuries were reported.
