Ten in running for Small Business Awards
BY CARRIE RENGERSThe Wichita Eagle
Theres often talk about the significance of large businesses to the Wichita economy, but there could be a strong argument that small businesses actually are its backbone.
Its the small businesses in this community that are the cornerstone of the marketplace, said Gerald Holman, senior vice president of the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber is celebrating the contributions made by smaller firms with its 2012 Small Business Awards.
There are two tiers of finalists one for companies with one to 25 employees and another for those with 26 to 100 employees and each group has five finalists.
Winners will be announced at a May 9 luncheon at Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview.
