The severe weather safety class in Oaklawn scheduled for Thursday night has been canceled, Sedgwick County officials said today.

Residents in the area affected by Saturday night’s tornado are encouraged to attend a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Oaklawn Activity Center, 4904 S. Clifton.

One topic of the classes offered by Sedgwick County focuses on planning and preparing for severe weather and all emergencies. Information about emergency plans and building an emergency kit may be found at www.sedgwickcounty.org.
