Westar Energy: Some may be without power until Tuesday

About 7,200 customers in the Sedgwick County area are still without power, according to Leonard Allen, spokesman for Westar Energy.

It may be Tuesday before all power is restored, he said.

Crews from throughout the region, including about 75 crews that are independent contractors, are working to restore power.

About 9,000 customers are without power in Kansas, according to Westar’s website.
