Canine Candyland, a fashion show and benefit for the Kansas Humane Society, is set for 6 to 10 p.m. April 14 at Doc Howard’s Lounge, 252 N. Mosley in Old Town.

Last year’s event at the Kansas Humane Society drew so many people, a larger venue was needed, said Patrick Lomantini, owner of Lomantini the Salon and founder of BarkAID, sponsor of the show.

Canine Candyland will feature models presenting the latest styles in clothing and hairstyling. The Wichita Wings Angels and Wichita Wildthings also will perform. Free appetizers will be provided, and there will be a cash bar.

BarkAID was created in 2010 with a mission of raising funds and awareness for homeless animals.

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased at the Kansas Humane Society’s retail store, 3313 N. Hillside, or on the KHS website, kshumane.org. For more information, call 316-640-4995.
