Shocker basketball team returns to arena this afternoon

Wichita State’s basketball team is expected to return to Koch Arena this afternoon around 5:30 p.m., according to assistant athletic director Larry Rankin. The time was pushed back from previously released information.

The Shockers are returning from Portland, Ore., where they lost to Virginia Commonwealth 62-59 in an NCAA South Regional second-round game Thursday evening. The loss ended WSU’s season at 27-6.
