A Wichita-based investment group has acquired Bella Sera at the Preserve in Lawrence, a five-story gated condominium complex, the investors announced Tuesday.

The condo complex, at the corner of Bob Billings Parkway and Inverness Drive in Lawrence, includes secured underground parking and storage. Condo sizes range from 1,300 to 4,200 square feet.

Amy Sanchez, the property manager for the facility, said the complex includes 37 luxury suites, of which 13 have been sold. The units are individually owned and are not for lease, Sanchez said. Jason Todd of Realty Executives in Lawrence is marketing the available condos.

The Preserve has recreational courtyards and plazas with a pool, spa and outdoor cooking and entertainment area overlooking the McGrew Nature Preserve. Included is an extended indoor living and recreation area, 24-hour fitness center and spa, a business center and a movie theater.

Sanchez said the investment group, Bella Sera LLC, was formed for the Lawrence purchase. Purchase price and the identity of the investors were not disclosed.

“They acquired Bella Sera at the Preserve because they believe it is a unique opportunity to complete a tremendous project that was shut down prematurely when the developer was forced to file bankruptcy,” Sanchez said.
