Who owns the most shoes? Guess right, help kidsBy Bonnie Bing
The Wichita Eagle
Theres no denying it. My heart skips a beat just seeing all the new spring shoes being displayed. If youre also a shoe lover, think about winning five new pairs of shoes and your heart will skip two beats. The good news is you can do just that.
The Wichita Eagle and Kansas.com have teamed up with Heads Shoe Stores and Children First: Childrens Educational Opportunity Kansas Inc. for the first Shoe Diva Charity Contest.
All you have to do is figure out which one of these women owns the most shoes: Realtor Cindy Carnahan, radio personality Carol Hughes, television host Sierra Scott, TV news anchor Kara Sewell, Butler Community College President Jackie Vietti or Wichita City Council member LaVonta Williams.
Pick up an entry form at Heads Shoe Stores or click here to visit Children First's website and download an entry form.
To enter, make a suggested donation of $10. No purchase is necessary to win, but you need to be at least 18 years old and a Kansas resident. And while were talking eligibility, if youre related to one of the Shoe Divas, you cant enter.
All you have to do is decide which woman has the most shoes and guess the number of pairs she owns. And theres more good news: If you win, not only will you pick out five pairs of shoes with a value of up to $150 each, but youll get a cash award of $500 if you guess the exact number of shoes the top Shoe Diva owns. You can buy new handbags! The winning entry will be drawn from the top Shoe Divas collection of entries. Youll have three months to pick out your five new pairs of shoes.
Hurry up and enter because the deadline is April 5. Winners will be notified by phone, and youll read about the big winner and their new shoes in this column.
