Sedgwick County inmate escapes, still on loose (Feb. 27)By STAN FINGER

An inmate who escaped from the Sedgwick County Jail on Sunday night remained on the loose Monday, authorities said.
The inmate, a trusty by the name of Sean P. McKenzie, 33, of Derby, escaped at about 10 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. McKenzie was last seen running west toward River Park Apartments at Central and Waco.
He was wearing a tan jail jumpsuit, with "JAIL" on the back. He is white, about 5-feet-11 and 175 pounds. He is balding, has dark hair and blue eyes.
He was one of three trusties who were escorted by three detention deputies outside to take out the trash, according to a news release from the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
McKenzie was scheduled to be sentenced on March 8 after pleading guilty to charges that included burglary, drug possession and possession of stolen property.
Law enforcement agencies in the area have been notified. As of 3 p.m. Monday, officers were still looking for him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 or the 316-660-3960.
