A 28-year-old man was killed in Kechi early Saturday after being run over by a car driven by his wife.
Sedgwick County sheriff’s detectives have questioned the wife of the dead man, identified as Carson E. Shotton of Kechi, about the incident. She has not been arrested, according to Capt. Greg Pollock.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the woman called 911 at 1:41 a.m. to report that she had run over Shotton in the 300 block of Cherokee, near Kechi Road and Oliver.
Shotton was found under the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The couple had two small children and they are in the custody of family, Pollock said.
“She remains the suspect in this, but we’re still in the middle of an active investigation,” he said.
He said it will be up to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.
