Wichita Transit will hold four meetings this week where residents can review and comment on scenarios for a series of potential improvements to the city’s public transportation system.
The first meeting takes place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wichita Public Library’s Rockwell Branch, 5939 E. Ninth St., near Ninth and Edgemoor. Another forum runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
A second pair of meetings will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Wichita Transit’s Van Maintenance Facility, 777 E. Waterman.
People will also have the chance to comment on the improvements in an online town-hall-style discussion at www.wichitatransittalks.com. The online forum will be open until March 9.
Officials plan to use the public feedback to craft a final report that identifies options for future improvements to the Wichita transit system, according to information released by the city.
