No one in our nation should be apolitical at any time. Stand up, speak up, and help make our nation what you think it needs to be.
It must have been the banks’ turn to contribute in the never-ending liberal Redistribution of Wealth Tour.
Imagine downtown with a casino. Hotels and restaurants would actually be hustling to buy land and get in on the action. We screwed up big time.
Anyone who says he can detect smoke in the air of the Kansas Star Casino is a liar. Obviously he hasn’t been there, but just wants to gripe. I can guarantee you the air quality is better than that of the Intrust Bank Arena.
I am thinking how much I am saving both my lungs and money by not going to the casino.
I was going to buy tickets on the Internet for the Intrust Bank Arena. The fees were unreal, but the available seats weren’t bad. I drove to the arena and acquired seats without processing fees. However, the seats were terrible. Do you think they save the better seats to get the fees?
If the city really cared about what the voters wanted, it would put in the legal mumbo jumbo, then say straight out: If you want it, vote “yes.” If you don’t, vote “no.” The legal language may be required by law, but I bet you can add language to simplify the meaning.
Photo IDs must be provided free or else the voter-ID law is an unconstitutional poll tax. We need to know exactly how much this unnecessary law will cost the state. It should not be implemented until then. A better option is to repeal it.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that voter-ID requirements are constitutional and are not a poll tax. The Eagle should stop printing opinions to the contrary. The only open issues are the way various states implement ID requirements.
President Obama has no constitutional authority to make insurance companies provide free contraceptives, any more than he did telling Catholic organizations to do this. We are slowly losing our freedom to Obama and the not-so-Democratic Party.
Not all of us are Catholics, nor do we care about the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Therefore we will do as we believe on the topic of contraception. Freedom of religion is also freedom from religion.
When the pope sells all the riches of the Catholic Church (starting with what’s in St. Peter’s in Rome) to take care of all the people born of no birth control, then I’ll listen to pontificating about the “sin” of contraception.
I’m not a Catholic, but Obama’s birth control Fatwa against the Catholic Church is an act of unconstitutional fascism.
Roads are designed and built for people in automobiles who have somewhere to go. They are not a training facility for aspiring marathoners. If you don’t like being honked at, try running on a track.
