Stain glass stepping stone--set in an end table stand. I made the Rose stain glass stone I bought the table to set it in from a shop in Augusta. I learned to make stepping stones from the Wichita City Arts program. I love the rose table, it is very striking in my living room I have another pic of the rose stone but could only upload one pic?

This is a painting of the pots and geraniums that sit to the right side of the door. I painted the door with a larger version to add dimension and interest. This end of the breakfast room would be very dull with out a spot of color and since there is not enough space to hang a large picture I choose to paint a mural on the door. I extended it onto the door frame to convey 'realism'.

Having a collection of giraffe memorabilia in our bedroom for a couple of years now, I decided to enlarge the experience to include the whole room and make it noticeable from the moment one stepped in the room. So I painted a tree on the wall that wraps around one corner of the room and added a shelf amid its branches with a statue of a mother and baby giraffe on it.

This is the backsplash for our new cooktop. We knew it would be a centerpiece for the kitchen so we did something spectacular!

I had a wall that was in a 'close traffic way'. It was so blank I wanted a picture there, but knew it wouldn't keep from being bumped....so I decided to 'paint a window'...the 'frame' is made of joint compound. I blocked off the wall with tape to form the stones and then did some shading to make it appear to have some depth. I painted a picture of my flower garden in the middle.

I am an I LOVE LUCY fan. I made a hallway wall in my basement into a "Lucy" wall by taking Lucy photos and "wallpapering" them onto the wall in a collage fashion.

We just complete a guest bedroom in our basement. There is a crawl space behind the wall pictured with an access panel that is about 3 inches down from the top of the wall. We decided to use canvases to hide the access panel, as well as to create an extension to the headboard of the bed. We painted the canvases the wall colors and then used four sizes of cookie cutters dipped in four other colors of paint to create the artwork.

Our basement is one long room. I wanted a guest bedroom, on a budget, so we created this "wall" with four old doors. One door was from a bathroom, and the old towel holder is a perfect place to display the 40-year-old quilt my parents received for their wedding. I get many compliments on my wall of doors, and the extra bedroom they create is a wonderful addition to our small home.

When we moved into this house, my mother-in-law was in a wheelchair. I wanted for her to be able to visit easily, but didn't want the look of a ramp. So, we had the walk and porch replaced. The only obstruction between the driveway and the entry is now the threshhold. Most people don't notice there ARE no steps. Which was my intention.

I solved the problem of ugly basement window well walls by hanging decorative shower curtains with Velcro. This city scape design is pleasant to see as I walk on the treadmill.

My mother made these beautiful leaded glass sidelights for my last home, and wanted them to go with me wherever I moved. When I moved, there were no sidelights at the new front door, but my daughter noticed that the doorway between the living room and study was wide enough to accommodate them. I think they add an elegant touch.

This area was created inside the back door as a place to take care of shoes, coats, etc. The halltree is beside the bench and on the other side of the wide hallway is a mirror for a last minute check before leaving.

My kitchen has very dark cupboards, and to lighten, up we took the doors off, painted shelves and background the same color as the walls and used only our white everyday dishes. It gave the whole kitchen a fun new look.

The large 1921 living room needed more light, so our son installed these. I brought in more "clouds" by sponge painting the alcove.

The bench you see was purchased over 20 years ago and was light oak. We painted it black, added some pillows, and voila! It is an updated look, and we love it. It sets the stage for the rest of our home, which is traditionl/country French.

This is a inexpensive computer cabinet that we have had for years in our home office. The other furniture in the office is black and oak. So I painted the doors of this cabinet with a black gloss and a dull pattern to give it more interest and to coordinate with the other furniture.

My wall still has the old cubby hole for the phone, so I decorated it with some of my favorites and then carried the design down below with a decorated old gas heater.
