It’s the Shockers’ first time in the rankings since Dec. 26, 2006. WSU (22-4) has a two-game Missouri Valley Conference lead with three games to play. The Shockers play host to Missouri State on Wednesday night.

WSU is tied with Gonzaga in the AP poll with 221 votes. In the coaches poll, WSU received 63 points, 13 below No. 25 Notre Dame (17-8).

Creighton fell out of both polls after a third straight loss. The Bluejays are the third team out of the top 25 in both.

Kansas is No. 4 in AP, No. 5 in the coaches poll.
