Chamber Music at the Barn
Jazz singer Donna Tucker is bringing her musical talents to Prairie Pines, 4055 N. Tyler Rd., Maize, accompanied by several Wichita classical musicians.
She hopes to merge the two genres to create the perfect atmosphere for a Valentine’s concert. The proceeds from the show will go to summer music programs for kids.
The performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Feb. 10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.. Champagne and refreshments will be offered. KAKE-TV’s Larry Hatteberg will serve as emcee. Tickets are $50 available at www.cmatb.org. Call 316-304-6028 for information.
Three Trails West at the Forum
Three Trails West will play a mellow and upbeat show at the Forum Theatre Performing Arts and Events Center, 147 S. Hillside, at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The Kansas City trio will sing classic cowboy tunes from the big screen, including songs sung by Roy Rogers. They’ll also play “cowboy jazz,” which is big band tunes, “but substituting the brass instruments with stringed ones,” lead vocalist Garry Bury said.

Choral Connections at Friends
Friends University will host a gospel concert at 7:30 tonight in Sebits Auditorium, 2100 W. University Ave.
Local vocal talent Earnest Alexander will be the guest soloist for two of the spirituals, the choir will be perform, and the guest conductor will be Keith Hampton, known for his gospel arrangements. Choirs from area high schools also will accompany Friends groups. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 seniors and students. For information, call 316-295-5677.
